The Institute for Rare Earths and Metals was founded to connect European industrial companies directly with mining operations. Uncertain supply chains for rare earth elements and other critical raw materials brought experts from their respective fields together in 2008.
After the supply bottlenecks appeared to have eased in 2011, an association was formally established as a non-profit organisation to maintain the organically grown network of contacts. Since 2011, we have recorded prices for a wide range of metals and metal products in our databases.
