No. ISE conducts independent analyses and valuations.
A partner could not do this.
Glow Discharge Mass Spectrometry (GDMS) is a proven technique for the quantitative determination of trace and ultra-trace elements in metals, alloys, semiconductor materials, and many other solid samples. Thanks to its high sensitivity and low detection limits, even the smallest impurities can be reliably detected – a decisive advantage for numerous high-technology industries.
The Institut für Seltene Erden und Metalle AG does not buy or sell metals. Our core business is the storage, analysis, and valuation of high-purity metals and rare earth elements.
Our clients include both buyers and sellers of metals. We are happy to facilitate connections between our clients.
No, such guarantees do not exist. ISE cannot assume responsibility for the intentions of third parties. Furthermore, past successes are no guarantee of future results. The storage and documentation of your goods are at your own risk.
We can only guarantee that your goods are stored securely, that you receive flawless, internationally recognized documentation of your goods, and that we will do our utmost to connect you with a buyer.
Because we can. No license is required to determine prices for non-exchange-traded goods. However, certain rules apply. A price is established when there are at least six price indicators within a three-month period. The average of these indicators is then calculated to determine the price. If fewer than six price indications are available, we base the price determination on the smallest unit, which can sometimes be as little as one gram or one meter. Prices for pure metals in the database can be extrapolated linearly, while prices for metal products are extrapolated on a degressive basis.
Currently, our databases display over 20.000 different prices updated daily on our website. Some historical data goes back as far as 2011. This breadth of information makes the ISE offering unique on the internet.
The "Metals" database contains approximately 1000 prices for pure metals, all of which can be extrapolated linearly.
The "Metal Products" database contains around 19.000 prices for metal products. Metal products are synthetically manufactured goods. Like all synthetically produced goods worldwide, their price development is not linear but degressive. This means that the larger the total purchase volume of a product, the lower the price per individual unit.
